Selling Online, is a quick way to make cash.. but what do you sell?
Here is one tip to get you started.
This tip, is the one I started with, and still do well selling online:
1. Craft Instruction booklets, and sewing Patterns.
Now before you hit the back button, just hear me out. You may not think there is much money in selling these items online. But I make extra money every month with these.
I find many of these at garage sales, and re-use it stores. If you are a garage sale junkie, then you will like this idea. Have you ever noticed at garage sales, that the table with boxes of books and magazines, don't seem to sell? Yet online, they sell well.
I like to go later in the morning, when most of the hard core garage sale junkies have gone through and already picked through the bigger items. Most of the owners, are tired, and don't want to cart all this stuff back in the house, so they are willing to let it go quite cheap at this point.
I have managed to get a box full of craft patterns and instruction booklets for just a dollar. I take the whole box home, and sort through it, and put like with like, take a picture and sell online with Ebay or Free classified ads, as a wholesale item. I might put together 8 - 10 cross stitch booklets, or crochet or knitting or how to paint.. I look online to see what others are going for, and list for about the same or a bit less.
Older patterns can be listed as "vintage" which seems to draw more money and visitors. Sewing patterns that have not been used are great as well. I find craft items sell better in a group of 8-10 rather than individually.
Make sure to weigh your packages and allow for postage, and I like to state what the postage will be online, so the customer knows up front their costs. I like selling craft patterns online because even with a few bundled up, they are still easy to mail compared to other bulky items you see online.
You can quickly make cash selling online, by filling a need, or niche. Selling Online puts your items in front of millions of people around the world. So, what didn't sell at your local garage sale in your neighborhood, might be just what someone across the country was looking for!
