One of the biggest trends in the online marketing industry is social bookmarketing. This form of marketing can really produce some amazing traffic surges. The only thing that happens is that a lot of the traffic becomes untargeted and will not convert. There are many social bookmarketing sites, but one good one is Digg. This website will allow you to produce an article or site and digg it. If you can get others to digg the article or website and that trend continues, then your site could get on the front page of digg. When this happens, you will see a large spike in traffic and hopefully some conversion of the traffic. You need to have a website that provides the visitor with something to read or watch. Movie sites and content rich sites do the best with social bookmarking.
